BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF GURU RINPOCHE

Guru Rinpoche, also known as Second Buddha was born miraculously from the lotus in the middle of lake Dhanakosha.

Guru was called as second Buddha which was one of the prophesied of Lord Buddha. after Lord Buddha's prophesied, Guru Rinpoche was born on tenth day of Bhutanese calendar.

The importance that we have to know here is that it was a day when Guru bought all the activities and the teachings of Buddha for the benefit of all sentient beings.

In 8th century Guru Rinpoche had visited many places in  Bhutan like in the east Bumthang, Lhuntse, etc..and in west place like Paro. We the people of Bhutan are lucky to be born in this religious country which was blessed by teachings of Buddha and Guru Rinpoche.

It was the of king Bumthang (Sindhu Raja) around in 746 AD who has invited Guru in order to recover his life where the king was ill .  with his blessings king was recovered from his illness, also Guru had mediated and subdued demons with his super natural power which bought peaceful to the king and people of Bhutan. later he has built lhakang named kurje and holly water as we can see today.

Today on auspicious day on the birth anniversary of GURU RINPOCHE it is the time where our human being should always think  that with the bless and his teachings is still exiting for beings and here we have to show our gratitude by offering butter lamps and by visiting temples and dzongs...

GNH is all about UNDERSTANDING

GNH is all about UNDERSTANDING

Gross National Happiness was introduced in Bhutan in the political discourse in the 1960s by late King of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. It was fourth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck,  where the idea was articulated in 1971 with his famous statement that "Gross National Happiness is more important than "Gross National Product".

first of all we have to know what happiness is all about and how happiness can be created or achieved among the individual. GNH is all about understanding as we are born in this beautiful country Bhutan. The word understanding itself means emotional process of comprehension, assimilation of knowledge, which is subject by its nature is more related to the apotheosis to contribute to Gross National Happiness. The word happiness is simple to get the meaning but difficult to gain in reality by individuals in practically. The four pillars of GNH: sustainable and Equitable Socio-economic Development, Good Governance, Preservation and promotion of Culture Heritage and Environment conservation, which needs more support to the some extent in order to wave throughout the year in the society to carry forever.

As I personally came to know that GNH can be sustained with the help of individual understanding in their own heart. Here what I really want to maxim the way of understanding is only thing that can bring real happiness in the world. Understanding between our friends, family, citizens of country and natures could really bring the root of Gross National Happiness in the country. understanding between our friends while they are in need of help and support them, supporting to the  people living in country with poverty should be solved by individual by thinking or understanding that every living should be equally treated by the wealthy person so, here the person having wealth must have the feeling of understanding to such people so that poorer will ultimately be happy by getting help from them, even the God come to know that he/she has contributed to the living beings and gradually increase the wealth with the compassion towards other people.

So, here as a writer i would be thankful that if  individual could kindly keep the word understanding in your heart every time and any where, be ready to aid if u see or come to face on the spot. With
all together we can able to promote GNH and fulfill the vision of our king, this is what we call as "Gross National Happiness".

Happy Mother's Day......

MOTHER'S DAY

Mother's day which is very special day for our mother. Mother's Day was first established by two women, Julia Ward Howe and Anna Jarvis in United States. Other sources say that Juliet Calhoun Blakely initiated Mother's Day in Albion, Michigan, in the late 1800s as her son paid tribute to her each year and urged others to honor their mothers. mother's day celebrated each year in order to encourage pacifism and disarmament among women. It may be noted that many countries around the world celebrate Mother's day on different day and even the time. In United States and India on a same day May 12, UK on April 3, in 13 countries ( Australia,  Belgium, Canada, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey were use to celebrate on May 13, etc..

There are also different kind of celebrating mother's day as in some of the countries they used to celebrate by gifts but country like  Bhutan most of their children used to prepare delicious food for their Mothers and  they entertaining through music, dancing and singing.   A mother is an epitome of sacrificial love, where the Bhutanese consider Mothers that even if we are reborn in next generation we are not able meet the favor received from our mothers. So it is very important that mothers are one of the main root in our lives as they make many opportunities for their children and mothers are always like a candle which gives light every day.

So, today is the best time to celebrate your mother's day and always we should know that without mother,  its incomplete on this earth. lets wish and pray for our Mother's Happy and long live.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Exercising a Democratic Franchise

Exercising a Democratic Franchise

Voting, the most powerful tool an individual has as a citizen of a democratic country Bhutan; the youngest democratic country on earth since 2008 was one of the historic remarks of a country after 100 years of absolute monarchy that the country was transformed into a parliamentary democracy with its first democratic election. The transition of a government into a democratic country was one of the vision of our beloved King. It is mainly to empower people where people have the right and power to create happiness in their society.

The first democratic parties are Druk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT) and People's Democratic Party (PDP), DPT as a first ruling party brought about major changes in Bhutan and PDP despite being world's smallest opposition had successfully completed the constitutional mandates of five years terms service to the Nation. In 2008 the democratic system had been forestall by two parties as people have chosen their right candidates and that's why we had peace and prosperity  in the country.

The current year, in which the second round of the parliamentary election, where National Council has been already elected. Now only left with National Assembly which consists of 47 members of the parliament. For forthcoming election Bhutan has five political parties namely:
1. Druk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT),
2. People's Democratic Party (PDP)
3. Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa (DNT)
4. Bhutan Kue-Nam Party (BKP)
5. Druk Chirwang Tshogpa (DCT)
Out of these five, two parties will be elected in the primary round which is scheduled on 31st May. It is very important to take the opportunity to elect the right parties who can merge and manipulate public opinion.

Citizens of Bhutan have obligation to vote by thinking that it is the gift from our King and should know the optics to cast vote. Even an individual vote is counted which the people should trace that it must be exercised   in effective manner to benefit the society in near future.

The citizens of a country have the right to cast the vote to make difference and take the opportunity to develop the country. The eligible voters have to take the election seriously because till now most of the eligible voters failed to cast vote (not willing). On the other hand citizens of Bhutan must be pellucid about election to achieve the goals of the Nation.

It was a heart breaking news that right after the article had been written, Bhutan Kuen-Nyam Party was disqualified for having not met the required criteria mandated by ECB. Nevertheless the citizens of Bhutan loved their spirit for having agreed to work together that too after a painful withdrawal as somebody had rightly quoted that "defeating is temporary and surrendering is what it makes permanent". "hats off to BKP"
